Everything we do is based on understanding, developing and maximizing performance in six key elements — primarily using bodyweight exercises to do so. Training and teaching is individually tailored to each client based on their assessed attributes, areas that need improvement and goals.
We identify and quantifiably measure the most important areas and aspects of the human body, providing the most comprehensible path for our clients to succeed with our guidance. Though every person and program is vastly different in their needs — and our developed plan — the focused areas revolve around: Balance, Cardiopulmonary Fitness, Muscular Fitness, Range of Motion, Nutrition, and Consistency.
These six key elements are the foundation of everything we train and teach, and are absolutely measurable; providing the data necessary to understand exactly where each person’s areas of focus and improvement need to be…what they need to work on to achieve true body control. And by gaining this knowledge, they’ll be able to constantly improve, learn and grow — understanding not only what they’re doing, but also why they’re doing it.
For the key elements to be fully effective, there needs to be a clear strategy: to keep things interesting and fun, but with a purpose; to actually enjoy physical activity; and to consistently seek, and expect, the results and improvements that we guarantee you’ll see if you’re sincerely committed to achieving them.
Clients are taught how to breathe properly, and to identify any weak or asymmetrical areas of the body, while consistently strengthening to promote balance (both postural and symmetrical) and spatial awareness.
Flexibility and mobility play a major role in injury prevention, ease of movement throughout the day, and muscle recovery. Clients are taught how to recognize the major areas needing improvement, as well as both dynamic mobility & static flexibility postures and exercises to improve their body’s function and quality of life.
We identify cardiovascular training modalities (most times creatively) that can improve heart function and efficiency in everyday life — regardless of zero or multiple preexisting conditions. We build on strengths and interests, helping to further promote sustainable forms of heart-healthy physical activity that most will have a hard time “walking” away from.
Want to be able to complete a push-up? How about walking up and down the stairs without fear of falling? Muscular strength and endurance provide the freedom to control one’s own body, along with numerous health benefits that promote longevity and mobility.
The good news? Nutrition is the ticket to weight management, disease prevention and reversal, optimal physical performance, recovery and longevity. The bad news? There is no such thing as a perfect diet. However, through the promotion of whole (real) foods, we help find what works for each person’s body, lifestyle and goals — ultimately helping them make better food choices for the rest of their lives.
Sustainability 101. Be consistent, move the body, enjoy natural foods and live healthy.
